Membership:
Introduction:
Membership Department is the backbone of LCCI and the main source of fund generation. This Department is playing vital role in serving the worthy members to fulfill their business promotion needs at maximum.
Functions:
- Processing of Membership Applications.
- Issuance of Identity Cards.
- Issuance of Certificate of Origin.
- Attestation of Commercial Documents.
- Issuance of Visa Recommendation Letters.
- Issuance of Foreign Exchange Letters.
- Co-ordination in conducting Election of LCCI.
Criteria for Membership and Territorial Jurisdiction:
A sole proprietorship, or a Partnership or an association of persons or a body corporate or a multinational corporation or a services concern shall be eligible for the membership of the Chamber provided that such a firm or company has its head office, registered office, branch office or manufacturing plant locate in the Lahore district provided that the firm/company etc., is engaged in export, import, import or any other trade or is owning a factory and pays or is liable to pay income tax and sales tax if applicable provided further that the head/registered office of the branch office of the firm / company etc., located at Lahore is member of a registered Chamber. Territorial jurisdiction of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Lahore District. All business concerns fall under the said District are eligible to apply for membership of this Chamber. Any business concern having its branch office or manufacturing plant located in Lahore District can apply for the membership of this Chamber provided that its head office / registered office is the member of registered Chamber of its reign other than Lahore District.
Classes of Membership
1. Corporate Class.
This Class of membership shall be open to all industrial and commercial undertakings either a body corporate or a multinational corporation or a Sales Tax registered manufacturing or a Sales Tax registered business concern having annual turn-over of Rs. 50 million or above. The annual subscription shall be Rs. 1500/-, research and development fee Rs. 1000/-, card fee Rs. 100/- and welfare fund Rs. 500/-.
- Associate Members.
This Class of membership shall be open to a medium and small industrial undertakings, Trading concerns, Proprietorship and Partnership concerns, which are not a body corporate or a multinational corporation or a Sales Tax registered manufacturing or a Sales Tax registered business concern having annual turn-over of Rs. 50 million or above. The annual subscription shall be Rs. 500/-, research and development fee Rs. 300/-, card fee Rs. 100/- and welfare fund Rs. 200/-.
- Town Association.
Town Associations those are organized to represent Trade, Industry, Services in a town, tehsil, or a district where no Chamber exist shall secure affiliation with the Chamber. The annual subscription shall be Rs. 1500/-
Membership Procedure
The membership form should be dully filled in and proposed by one and seconded by another existing valid member. The membership form can be obtained on payment of Rs. 50

Note.
* Authority letter must be provided in the name of person authorized for collection of documents on behalf of Chief Executive/ Directors (Only for Partnership, Private Ltd, and Limited concerns)
* Over writing or cutting in the membership Form will not be acceptable.
* Any change in particulars of business may please be intimated to the Chamber to up-date the record.
Issuance of Certificate of Origin and Attestation of Commercial Documents.
Requirements:
- Membership of the firm/company should be valid.
- Copy of Invoice / bill of landing / Airway bill is compulsory.
- Documents should be stamped and signed by the authorized representative of the firm.
Issuance of Visa Recommendation Letter.
- Application shall be submitted on prescribed form of LCCI duly signed by the authorized representative of the firm/company.
- Membership of the firm/company should be updated.
- Documentary evidence for proposed business visit (invitation letter) should be accompanied with the application.
- In case of proprietorship and AOP concerns, the documentary evidence regarding he volume of business i.e. exports / imports should also be accompanied.
- Minimum period required for Membership is two years.
- Minimum period required for change in the partnership / directorship is two (2) years.
- No application shall be entertained through Agents / Legal Advisors except form Private Limited and Limited concern
